Involvement in diversity, equity and social justice

  1. Represented the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine s (Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa) as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Office of Equity, Diversity and Gender for two year. Our mandate was to promote awareness of gender & equity issues among faculty and the university community.
  2. Volunteered for the Congo Yetu Initiative for women and children’s rights in Ottawa (https://www.linkedin.com/in/congo-yetu-initiative-88029632/).
  3. Regular contributor to Amnesty International’s campaigns for social justice.
  4. Freelance proofreader of English as a Second Language scientific manuscripts (2011-2020)(https://www.proof-reading-service.com/en/)
  5. Supporter of the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation. Dedicated to the conservation of the endangered Bornean orangutan and its habitat through the involvement of local people.
